The 1756-EN2T is a high-capacity dual-port EtherNet/IP communication module exclusively for ControlLogix PLC chassis. Its core functions are as follows:

EtherNet/IP Industrial Ethernet Gateway for PLC Mounted on the ControlLogix backplane, it acts as the data exchange gateway between the Logix CPU and industrial Ethernet, complying with the standard EtherNet/IP protocol. The DLR ring realizes millisecond-level self-recovery when one cable is damaged, maintaining continuous communication and reducing downtime of assembly lines and robotic workcells.
3. High Throughput for Mass Real-Time Data Transmission As a high-capacity Ethernet module, it supports a large number of I/O connections and network nodes. It processes high-frequency real-time motion data for multi-axis synchronization and servo control without delay, ideal for automation lines with dense field equipment.
4. DIP Switches for Fast Static IP Configuration Three sets of X/Y/Z rotary switches on the rear panel allow manual static IP setting for the shturl.cc/W segment without PC configuration. The IP address takes effect automatically after power cycle, greatly shortening maintenance time during module replacement.
5. Comprehensive Network Diagnostics & Basic Security Protection Status LEDs (OK, NET, LINK) on the front panel visually display module health and network link status. The CPU can retrieve diagnostic information such as cable breakage, IP conflict, network overload and DLR ring faults to trigger system alarms. Built-in IP filtering and port access restrictions prevent unauthorized access to the PLC for network security.
6. Multi-Module Expansion for Network Segmentation Multiple 1756-EN2T modules can be installed on one chassis to separate different network segments (motion control network, equipment monitoring network, factory MES upload network). Independent data traffic avoids network congestion and improves overall system stability.
7. Rugged Industrial Design with Hazardous Location Certifications Powered by 24VDC chassis backplane supply, it features wide operating temperature range.
