Product Overview

1398-DDM-075 (component code 9101-1460) is a single-axis digital servo drive of Allen‑Bradley Ultra 200 series. It is designed to match Allen‑Bradley brushless servo motors. This legacy servo drive has been discontinued by the original manufacturer and is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for aging automation machinery.

Key Functions

Three-loop Closed-Loop Motion Control Equipped with fully digital current, velocity and position loop regulators. It accepts motion commands from upper controllers to precisely operate servo motors under position, speed or torque control modes.
Power Conversion & Inversion Rectifies AC input into DC bus voltage and converts it into adjustable three-phase AC power to drive matched brushless servo motors. It features 75A peak output current under three-phase power supply with 7.5kW continuous output power.
Encoder Closed-Loop Feedback Receives feedback signals from motor encoders to capture rotor position and speed in real time, continuously correcting output commands to guarantee high-precision positioning and stable speed performance.
Multi-command Interface Support Compatible with ±10V analog command, step/direction pulse command, electronic gearing and indexing positioning. Serial communication port is available for parameter setup and troubleshooting via Ultra Master software.
Comprehensive Hardware Protection Built-in protection functions against overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, overload, encoder fault and short circuit. It disables drive pulses automatically when faults occur to protect servo motors and power components.
General-purpose Digital I/O Digital input and output terminals support home search, limit switch signal, fault alarm, drive enable and other signals for seamless connection with PLC systems.

Typical Applications

Forms servo systems together with legacy Allen‑Bradley brushless servo motors. Widely deployed in CNC machine tools, packaging machinery, printing equipment, textile machines, material handling equipment and automated assembly lines. It executes precise motion tasks including feed positioning, rotary indexing, tension control and synchronous tracking. Currently it is primarily used for maintenance and spare part replacement on older imported production lines.
