UR6TH is an expansion IO module supporting GE Multilin UR series protection devices. It belongs to the UR-series IO units together with UR-6AH, but differs in channel definition and hardware specifications and cannot be directly interchanged.

2. Main Functions

1. Extends digital input and digital output channels for GE Multilin UR series universal relay protection devices.
2. Digital Input Channels: Collect passive / active binary status signals from circuit breakers, disconnectors, local alarm contacts and other equipment.
3. Digital Output Channels are equipped with relay contacts to output trip commands, alarm signals and equipment interlock control signals.
4. Gathers external binary status in real time and transmits data to the UR main unit via internal bus for logic calculation.
5. Executes opening, alarming and equipment interlocking actions by driving relay contacts after receiving control commands from main unit.
6. Supports online channel diagnosis. It can detect circuit abnormalities and generate event records and fault alarms.
7. Expands native IO capacity of relay protection devices to meet requirements of complex power station interlocks and multi-point signal acquisition.

1. Compatible with the full range of GE Multilin UR microprocessor-based relay protection devices.
2. Application sites: Substations, thermal power plants, hydropower plants and power distribution systems of industrial plants.
3. Used for binary signal expansion of line protection, transformer protection, motor protection and busbar protection systems.
4. Realizes primary equipment status monitoring, fault alarm output, protection trip interlock and auxiliary equipment sequence control.
5. Serves as standard spare parts for power protection system capacity expansion and on-site equipment maintenance & replacement.
