1. Protocol Conversion & Communication Matching communication card for ABB AC 800M DCS controllers, natively supporting Modbus TCP/IP industrial Ethernet protocol to realize bidirectional data communication between ABB control systems and third-party Modbus TCP devices.
2. Ethernet Data Transmit & Receive Equipped with standard RJ45 port to transmit real-time industrial data over TCP/IP Ethernet. It supports simultaneous connection of multiple Modbus TCP slave stations, reading and writing Modbus registers including coils, discrete inputs, holding registers and input registers.
3. Extended Communication Channel for DCS System Mounted on ABB communication bases such as CI840 and CI801 to expand external Ethernet communication channels of controllers, share communication load of main controllers and prevent system lag caused by connection of multiple third-party devices.
4. Data Mapping & Data Exchange Map internal DCS control variables, analog and digital points to standard Modbus register addresses; meanwhile, read register data from third-party equipment (drives, meters, PLCs, temperature controllers) to DCS control programs.
5. Fault Diagnosis & Redundancy Compatibility Built-in hardware status LEDs to indicate communication disconnection, module failure and network anomalies in real time. It supports redundant system architecture configuration to meet high-reliability requirements of chemical and power industries.
6. Real-Time Industrial Data Transmission Supports millisecond-level periodic data refresh for industrial continuous control scenarios, with separate read/write access authority to guarantee control safety.

2. Main Applications

1. 5. Redundant control scenarios for high-reliability process industries Deploy dual redundant modules for critical units in petroleum, chemical and thermal power industries to ensure uninterrupted Modbus communication and avoid production shutdown.
6. Renovation projects of legacy equipment For renovation projects with existing third-party devices only supporting Modbus TCP, this module enables fast connection with newly added ABB DCS without replacing field instruments.
