Execute AVR automatic voltage regulation, field‑current regulation, reactive‑power and power‑factor control algorithms for precise excitation output of synchronous generators.
2. Multi‑mode excitation control: Support multiple control modes including voltage regulation, constant field‑current, reactive‑power and power‑factor control, suitable for stand‑alone operation, multi‑unit parallel operation and grid‑connected conditions.

1. Comprehensive excitation limitation & protection: Integrate over‑excitation, under‑excitation, stator‑current limitation and loss‑of‑excitation protection; fault recording and black‑start support. Output protective commands rapidly upon faults to safeguard generator units and power grid.
2. Signal acquisition & I/O processing: Collect PT/CT voltage‑current and digital status signals; interface with I/O modules and output pulse signals to drive excitation power units.
3. Multi‑protocol industrial communication: Support Modbus‑TCP, IEC61850 MMS/GOOSE, Ethernet and others. Connect with ABB 800xA DCS, HMI and supervisory systems, upload operating data and alarm events, and receive remote control commands.
4. Redundant hot‑standby capability: Support dual‑module redundant configuration with bumpless master‑standby switch‑over, greatly improving reliability of excitation systems for critical power‑generation units.
5. Commissioning, diagnosis & expansion: Support model‑based programming and on‑line parameter tuning; fault‑event logging and on‑board status indicators. Expandable with S800/S900 I/O modules to adapt to generator units of various capacities.
