Main Functions

1. 8 galvanically‑isolated analog input channels. Supports voltage, current (2‑wire /4‑wire transmitters), thermocouples, RTD resistance thermometers and resistance signals. Channels are grouped by two channels per group. Measuring type is selected via range card. Resolution: 9‑14 bits configurable.

3. SIPLUS rugged features: PCB conformal protective coating. Operating temperature: ‑25 ℃ ~ +70 ℃. Condensation‑tolerant, resistant to corrosive atmosphere, compared with standard 6ES7 version limited to 0‑60 ℃ without condensation support.
4. Comprehensive diagnostic functions: wire‑break detection, over‑range monitoring and module fault reporting to CPU via diagnostic interrupt. Hot‑swap capable when active backplane is used.
5. Converts analog sensor signals into digital values for S7‑300 CPU via backplane bus for process calculation, PID control and interlock alarming. 24 VDC supply, typical power loss 1 W.

Applications

1. Signal acquisition under harsh conditions: Chemical, coal‑chemical, metallurgy, outdoor installations, railway and offshore sites. Collect signals from pressure, level, flow and temperature sensors in cabinets with wide temperature swing, condensation and corrosive gas.
2. Multi‑point process data acquisition for thermocouple / RTD temperature inputs together with 4‑20 mA / 0‑10 V field instrument signals.
