Introduction
Product Function
- SAP‑Free Hydrophobic Barrier Filtration Core Function This element adopts advanced hydrophobic barrier media instead of traditional super‑absorbent polymer(SAP). It permits jet‑A aviation fuel to flow through freely, while physically blocking free water, water slugs and emulsified water droplets from migrating downstream. Blocked water droplets coalesce on the outer surface of filter media, settle down to the sump of filter housing and need manual draining periodically. It eliminates the risk of SAP media shredding, shedding and downstream contamination which exists in conventional SAP‑type fuel monitor cartridges.
- Solid Particulate Removal It delivers high‑efficiency solid particle filtration (0.5‑micron grade), intercepts dirt, rust particles, sediments and microbial contaminants inside aviation fuel, protects downstream fueling hardware and aircraft fuel system from particle‑caused abrasion and blockage.
- Water‑slug Shock Resistance Qualified to EI‑1588 2nd edition standard, it withstands full water slug impact up to 7 bar (101.5 psid). When massive water bursts into fuel stream, the barrier structure will hold back water effectively without immediate breakthrough.
- No‑swell Media Characteristic Different from SAP cartridges which swell when absorbing water and narrow flow passage, CDFX‑230B media will not swell with water exposure. Service life is extended; differential‑pressure rise is mainly caused by solid dirt contamination, not water absorption. Partial pressure drop can recover after flow shutdown.
- Additive Compatibility Fully compatible with aviation fuel mixed with FSII (Fuel‑System Icing Inhibitor) anti‑ice additive, maintains stable barrier performance under real‑world airport fueling conditions.More products: www.plcva.com
- Drop‑in Replacement Function Identical outer dimension, end‑cap interface with legacy SAP‑based CDF‑230P / FG‑230‑7 monitor cartridges. No housing modification, piping rework or extra electronic sensors are required for retrofitting existing fuel monitor vessels. Max continuous flow rate reaches 30 USGPM.

Product Applications (Uses)
- Final‑stage aviation ground fueling filtration Installed as the last‑point filter before jet fuel enters aircraft tanks, widely deployed for into‑plane refueling operation at airports.
- Mobile airport fuel‑handling equipment Applied on refueler trucks, hydrant fuel carts and dispensers for airport apron fuel delivery.
- FBO (Fixed‑Base Operator) fuel dispensing systems Used for fuel filtration at FBO storage and dispensing points for general aviation and commercial aircraft refueling.
- Bulk aviation fuel storage terminal outlet filtration Positioned at outlet of bulk jet‑fuel storage tanks, removing water and solid pollutants before fuel is transported to apron fueling facilities.
- Retrofit upgrade for existing SAP‑monitor filter housings Direct replacement for old‑generation SAP monitor cartridges. Solves hidden risks of SAP fragment migration, complies with ATA‑103 and JIG operating standards for modern aviation fuel quality control.
- Defueling process protection Suitable for aircraft defueling recovery workflows, provides retention against microbes and foreign contaminants from aircraft fuel tanks.
