Multi-standard serial interface support Each port can be configured via jumper or software to run RS-232, RS-422, or 2-wire /4-wire RS-485. It supports complete modem control signals for RS232 (TxD, RxD, RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, DCD, GND).
High-speed serial data transmission Baud rate ranges from 50 bps up to 921.6 kbps. Built-in 128-byte hardware FIFO buffer, supports hardware flow control (RTS/CTS) and software flow control (XON/XOFF), prevents data loss under high-speed continuous transmission.
Universal PCI bus compatibility 32-bit Universal PCI, supports 3.3V and 5V PCI / PCI-X slots, can be installed in most industrial PCs and rack servers. Maximum 8 boards can be installed inside one single PC, expanding up to 64 serial ports.
Cross-platform driver support Drivers available for Windows, Linux, UNIX. Moxa provides PComm Lite management utility for port monitoring, data logging, serial debugging and performance analysis.
Onboard status diagnosis LED indicators on the card show Tx/Rx activity of each serial port, convenient for on-site troubleshooting.
ADDC™ automatic RS485 direction control On-chip ADDC function automatically controls RS485 transceiver enable/disable, no extra delay setting required for multi-drop RS485 bus, simplifies wiring and commissioning.
