1. Multi-channel Safety Interlock Signal Monitoring It continuously collects 24VDC safety digital signals from process chamber door switches, safety light curtains, gas leak detectors, vacuum sensors and cooling water flow switches. It judges whether all safety preconditions are satisfied before plasma process startup.www.plcva.com
2. Fast Hardware Safety Cutoff & Fail-Safe Logic Hardware-based interlock circuit, response time ≤0.1 second. When unsafe conditions are detected (chamber door open, gas leakage, water loss, vacuum failure), it immediately triggers hardwired interlock trip, cuts off RF power, gas supply and high-voltage source, and locks the process recipe. It adopts fail-safe design: the circuit will automatically enter safe state upon power failure or board malfunction.
3. Interlock Status Feedback & Alarm Signal Output Transmits real-time safety status and fault alarm codes to equipment host controller. Onboard LED indicators display each safety loop status for on-site maintenance troubleshooting. It records interlock trigger events for equipment fault log.
4. Emergency Off (EMO) Signal Integration Receives and executes EMO emergency stop commands, coordinates safety interlock logic together with the main machine controller, controls chamber venting and power shutdown sequence to protect personnel and process chamber hardware.
5. Signal Isolation & Anti-interference Processing Designed for cleanroom and plasma high-EMI environment. It provides signal isolation for safety loops to avoid false triggering caused by electromagnetic interference from RF power supplies.

2. Applications / Purposes

This interlock safety board is a mandatory safety core component for AMAT AKT Gen series PECVD large-area substrate plasma equipment, applied in flat panel display and photovoltaic manufacturing lines:

1. Flat Panel Display Production For LCD / OLED glass substrate PECVD thin-film deposition. It protects process chamber and operators during silicon nitride, amorphous silicon film deposition.
2. Solar Photovoltaic Cell Manufacturing Used for thin-film solar cell PECVD coating, ensuring safe plasma ignition and chamber operation on large glass substrates.
3. Semiconductor & Vacuum Plasma Equipment Safety Protection Applicable to other AMAT plasma process chamber tools, monitors chamber safety loops, prevents accidental exposure to vacuum, toxic gas and high RF energy.plcva.com
4. Maintenance Spare Replacement Part Used for repair, refurbishment and board swap of existing AKT production tools. Without this interlock board, the equipment cannot meet safety interlock requirements and will not allow plasma process execution.
