Application: Industrial synchronous generator sets, backup diesel generator systems, power plant paralleling control

This 1407-CGCM integrated generator control module is a dedicated controller for generator excitation regulation and grid paralleling. Its core functions are listed as follows:

1. Closed-Loop Excitation Regulation for Generators The module samples generator bus voltage and stator current signals, then outputs 0–15A DC excitation current to adjust the magnetic field strength of excitation windings dynamically, stabilizing generator output voltage. It is equipped with a ±10 VDC voltage adjust input for remote voltage reference trimming, eliminating voltage sags or overvoltage caused by load fluctuations.
2. Generator Grid Synchronization & Paralleling Control Integrated synchronization logic acquires two sets of generator bus signals (57–208 VAC, 20–90 Hz). It automatically compares voltage, frequency and phase between the oncoming generator and utility grid. When synchronization conditions are met, it outputs a close-permissive signal to achieve soft paralleling without surge current, avoiding damage to generator stator windings from inrush impact.
3. Fault Monitoring & Multi-Level Protection Output It continuously monitors operating conditions of the excitation circuit, bus voltage and current, detecting loss of excitation, over-excitation, overvoltage, undervoltage, frequency deviation and redundant communication failures. Once a fault is triggered, it sends alarm or shutdown signals via 0.5 A @ 24 VDC dry contacts to cut excitation or open paralleling breakers, protecting generators and transformers.
4. Hot Standby Redundant Dual-Module Design A dedicated Redundancy Port enables two 1407-CGCM units to form a primary-backup redundant system. Seamless switchover to the standby module occurs upon main unit failure, maintaining uninterrupted generator control for critical power loads such as power plants, data centers and hospitals.
5. Communication & HMI Configuration Management Loaded with HOST FRN firmware V4.6 and COMMS firmware V1.11, it connects seamlessly to Allen‑Bradley PLC systems. It supports remote parameter tuning, real-time operation data upload and fault log retrieval. Supporting software allows configuration of unit start-stop logic, voltage regulation curves and paralleling threshold values.
6. Wide-Range Multi-Voltage Power Supply Compatibility It accepts 24 VDC control power input (1.5 ADC) and two channels of AC auxiliary power input (79–300 VAC), compatible with on-site DC operating power and plant AC auxiliary power. Its wide operating temperature range (-20°C to 70°C) adapts to harsh operating environments including outdoor stations and power plant rooms.
