Prosonic S FMU90 is a multi-functional ultrasonic transmitter host from Endress+Hauser. When matched with FDU ultrasonic sensors, it performs non-contact level measurement.

1. Primary Measurement It continuously monitors liquid/solid level inside tanks and basins. It can also measure open channel flow with dedicated sensors. Based on ultrasonic echo reflection principle, the sensor does not contact the process medium, making it ideal for corrosive liquids (such as acid tanks), dirty fluids.
2. Signal Output & Communication Supports 4~20mA analog output, relay switch outputs, and optional RS485/Modbus digital communication to transmit level data to DCS or PLC systems.
3. On-board Control Logic Integrated functions including high/low level alarm, pump control, volume calculation, signal averaging and false echo suppression. It realizes tank monitoring and interlock without extra controllers.
4. Process Adaptability Suitable for acid & alkali corrosive environments. Measurement is independent of medium conductivity or color. Easy to install and maintain; no wetted parts to avoid scaling and clogging.
5. Application in GE Gas Turbine System It is used for continuous level monitoring of acid storage tanks. Level signals are transmitted to the gas turbine control system for high/low level alarming and tank feeding/discharging interlock protection.
