- PCI to GPIB Protocol Conversion It acts as a hardware bridge between the PC PCI bus and the IEEE-488 GPIB instrument bus. The onboard XC6SLX4CGS255 FPGA handles GPIB protocol timing, handshaking and frame processing independently, offloading protocol workload from the host PC CPU. It supports up to 14 GPIB instruments connected in daisy-chain topology on one GPIB port.
- High-speed Buffered Data Transmission Built-in hardware buffer enables maximum GPIB transfer speed up to 900 KB/s. The buffer decouples PCI bus and GPIB data transfer to eliminate speed mismatch, improving throughput and stability during continuous measurement data acquisition.
- Full IEEE-488 Master Controller Functions Supports GPIB controller-in-charge operation, including device addressing, serial polling, parallel polling, trigger output, remote/local switching, and instrument reset. It can send SCPI command strings to test instruments and receive measurement readings back from meters, power supplies, signal generators and oscilloscopes.
- Flexible Mechanical Installation Supports both standard full-height bracket and low-profile bracket. It can be fitted into standard PC chassis or compact short-height industrial PCs, adapting to different test bench cabinet layouts.www.plcva.com
- Plug-and-Play & Multi-core OS Support Compliant with PCI plug-and-play specification. It supports multi-processor Windows systems. Works with Keysight IO Libraries Suite for instrument resource management, automatic detection, address configuration and debugging.
