2. Main Functions

Expansion unit for AC800PEC excitation control platform to extend extra digital inputs, digital outputs and auxiliary analog signal channels.
Collects auxiliary status signals inside excitation cabinets: field breaker status, cooling fan, cabinet door limit, rectifier temperature, local start/stop commands and other peripheral digital signals.
Outputs auxiliary control signals: fan on/off, alarm relay contacts, local indicator lights and external interlock signals.
Provides signal isolation, level conversion and hardware filtering to improve noise immunity for field signals.
Communicates bidirectionally with UAD series I/O modules and PPD539 controller via high-speed backplane bus.
Supports wire-break detection and hardware self-diagnosis; fault information can be uploaded to System 800xA monitoring platform.
Expands external contact points when standard I/O channels are insufficient, no modification to main controller rack required for flexible capacity expansion.
