Functions

1. It is a Fail-Safe PLC Central Processing Unit (F-CPU) of Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500F series. It executes both standard control program and PROFIsafe safety program, achieving safety level up to SIL 3 / PLe.
2. Work memory: 1.5 MB for program, 5 MB for data; binary instruction execution time: 10 ns, suitable for medium & large-scale complex automation projects.
3. Three integrated communication interfaces:
   • Port 1: PROFINET IRT with built-in 2-port switch, supports isochronous real-time motion control
   • Port 2: Independent PROFINET RT interface with separate IP address for network isolation
   • Port 3: PROFIBUS DP Master interface
4. Equipped with onboard LCD display for diagnosis, tag monitoring and fault checking. A SIMATIC Memory Card is mandatory for operation.
5. Supports motion control, PID closed-loop control, isochronous mode, web server, OPC UA, distributed I/O, MRP ring redundancy.
6. Multiple hardware functional states (FS01 / FS03) are available. They are compatible in hardware configuration; FS01 is early hardware revision while FS03 is optimized updated version.

Applications

1. Safety-critical automation systems: emergency stop, safety gate, safety light curtain, press machine, robot safety interlock and other safety-related control.
2. Main controller for medium & large production lines and machinery; ideal for retrofit projects requiring compatibility of both PROFINET and PROFIBUS.
3. Widely applied in automotive industry, packaging machinery, plastic & rubber equipment, metallurgy, logistics conveying, pharmaceutical machinery, lifting equipment.
4. Supports local signal modules expansion and remote distributed I/O (ET200SP / ET200MP).
