1. AC to DC regulated power conversion Accepts AC mains power input from control cabinets, converts it into stabilized standard DC voltage for Ovation DCS backplane, and supplies clean DC power to controllers, I/O cards, relay modules and communication boards.
2. Wide-range input voltage adaptation Compatible with common industrial AC input, tolerates voltage fluctuation at power plant and chemical sites, with under-voltage and over-voltage input protection.
3. Multiple isolated DC outputs Equipped with multiple independent isolated output channels to separate logic power and signal power. Separated power supply prevents mutual interference between circuits.
4. Multi-layer hardware protection Built-in protection against overcurrent, short circuit, overtemperature, output overvoltage and reverse connection. Automatically cuts off output under load short circuit and resumes operation after fault removal to avoid damage to the whole set of DCS cards.
5. Rack-mounted hot-swap compatible design Standard form factor for Ovation racks, supporting redundant parallel operation. Dual power supplies run in primary-standby redundancy mode to achieve seamless switching without system power interruption when one unit fails.
6. Real-time operational status monitoring Equipped with power status indicator lights. It can upload power fault signals to the DCS system, enabling real-time fault alarms of power loss or abnormal status on HMI screens.
7. EMC filtering and anti-interference performance Integrated EMC filter circuits suppress harmonics and surge interference generated by on-site inverters and contactors, ensuring stable power supply for DCS control systems.

2. Applications & Purposes

This is a dedicated rack power supply module for Ovation Distributed Control System (DCS), OEM-produced by Magnetek, mainly deployed in energy and heavy process industries:

1. Thermal power, cogeneration and gas-fired power plants: Core power supply for boiler, steam turbine and auxiliary control cabinets to sustain continuous power for controllers and I/O modules.
2. Chemical, coal chemical and refinery plants: Redundant power supply for process DCS cabinets to maintain uninterrupted continuous production.
3. Automation rack power supply for large metallurgical, papermaking and cement factories.
4. Auxiliary Ovation control cabinets of power substations and new energy power stations (wind power, photovoltaic power).
5. Power supply for critical process safety interlock systems. The redundant design eliminates power outages that would cause equipment trip-out and safety incidents.
