1.Core Functions

  1. Signal acquisition for two types of temperature sensors It supports mainstream industrial RTD platinum resistance thermometers (Pt100 / Pt1000) and all standard thermocouple types (K, T, J, S, B, E). It collects analog temperature signals from equipment bearings, stators, lubricating oil and pipeline housings, and converts them into digital signals for uploading to A6560R CPU processor card.
  2. Multi-channel isolated temperature measurement channels A single module integrates multiple independent electrically isolated loops. Each temperature channel is separated to eliminate cross-interference between measuring points, adapting to power plant and chemical sites with strong electromagnetic interference and inverters inside cabinets.
  3. Self-diagnosis for open and short sensor circuits It continuously detects open circuits of 3-wire/4-wire RTDs, broken thermocouple wires and sensor short-circuits. Circuit abnormalities trigger fault alarms and upload to the system instantly, preventing false interlocks caused by distorted temperature readings.
  4. High-precision temperature signal conditioning Equipped with precision signal amplification and automatic cold junction compensation circuits for thermocouples, it eliminates measurement errors induced by cabinet ambient temperature fluctuation and ensures full-range high accuracy for precise unit temperature measurement.
  5. Temperature trend logging and over-limit judgment Real-time temperature data is transmitted to the system CPU. High and low temperature alarm thresholds can be configured via software. Historical temperature curves are stored continuously to analyze temperature rise trends of bearings, gears and motors for early overheating fault prediction.
  6. Communication interaction via system backplane bus Standard plug-in card design for CSI 6500 chassis. It communicates at high speed with A6560R redundant CPU through rack backplane, aggregating all temperature measurement data to the system main controller for comprehensive machinery health calculation.
  7. Coordination with safety interlock logic When bearing, lube oil or motor winding temperatures exceed safety thresholds, the CPU receives temperature data from this module and issues interlock commands. The A6500-RR relay rack outputs hard-contact protection signals for unit load reduction or emergency shutdown.

2. Applications & Purposes

This module is a dedicated temperature acquisition card for CSI 6500 online machinery monitoring system, working cooperatively with A6410 vibration input modules to simultaneously collect two critical equipment condition parameters: vibration and temperature.

  1. Thermal & gas-fired power plants: Temperature monitoring of bearings, lubricating oil and motor stator windings for turbine generators, induced / forced draft fans, coal mills and feed water pumps.
  2. Large compressors and turbine units in petrochemical & coal chemical plants: Online temperature measurement of bearing bushes, cylinder housings and sealing lubricating oil.
  3. Real-time temperature rise monitoring of turbo-units and high-speed pumps at oil & gas transmission booster stations.
  4. Early overheating warning for bearings of large fans and main transmission gearboxes in metallurgy, cement and papermaking industries.
  5. Predictive maintenance systems for all types of rotating machinery, enabling comprehensive fault diagnosis based on combined vibration and temperature multi-parameter data.
