1.Main Functions

1. Fully compliant with HART protocol smart transmitters, it collects standard 4-20mA analog current signals from field instruments, and simultaneously transmits bidirectional digital HART data. Each channel delivers both primary process measurement values and device diagnostic information at the same time.
2. High-precision multi-channel signal acquisition, compatible with HART transmitters for pressure, temperature, flow and liquid level. It converts field analog signals into digital data and uploads to DeltaV controllers for closed-loop process control.
3. Complete HART device management functions: retrieve instrument range, engineering units, serial numbers, calibration logs and fault codes. Cooperates with AMS asset management software to support remote calibration, online device diagnostics and abnormal pre-alarms.
4. Built-in self-diagnosis for channel open circuit, short circuit, signal over-range and transmitter malfunctions. Fault status of modules and signal loops will be sent to operator stations in real time for maintenance troubleshooting.
5. Adopts electrically isolated anti-interference circuit design, supports redundant architecture to meet SIL2 safety integrity level. Hot-swap design allows replacement without system power-off.
6. Installed in DeltaV control cabinets and seamlessly communicates with controllers and operator workstations, supporting PID control, historical trend recording and safety interlock logic calculation.

2. Application & Usage

This module is the core I/O acquisition card of Emerson DeltaV DCS system, used to collect signals from HART smart field instruments across all process industries:

• Oil & Gas: Pressure, flow and liquid level monitoring for refinery units, long-distance natural gas pipelines and offshore platforms
• Chemical & Coal Chemical: Online monitoring of temperature, pressure and medium concentration for reactors and distillation columns
• Power Generation: Parameter collection for boiler feedwater and turbine auxiliary equipment in thermal & gas power plants
• Pharmaceutical, Water Treatment and LNG Plants: High-precision process parameter control, compliant with FDA and explosion-proof standards.

It collects critical real-time process variables to provide underlying measurement data for automatic process regulation, equipment failure prediction and safety trip interlock, serving as fundamental hardware for factory process automation.
