Standard 4-20mA analog signal output Receives regulation logic commands from the Ovation controller and converts them into industry-standard continuous 4~20mA current signals for precise control of field actuators. Equipped with 4 isolated independent output channels, featuring ±0.1% output accuracy and 12-bit resolution for superior linear control performance.
Galvanic isolation for anti-interference Electrical isolation between channels and between the system side and field side eliminates ground loop interference and surge voltage, protecting the main control system from damage caused by field faults.
Built-in hardware self-diagnosis & fault reporting Continuously monitors wire breakage, short circuits, overload and module power supply abnormalities; fault alarms are uploaded to the DCS operator screen for rapid maintenance.
24VDC power supply with load driving capability Operates on standard 24VDC system power with a maximum output voltage of 33VDC, compatible with all common 4-20mA field devices including valve positioners and variable frequency drives.
Backplane bus communication Installed in the I/O rack backplane, it realizes high-speed bidirectional data exchange with the Ovation controller via the system local bus to transmit control commands and module status data.
Legacy hardware compatibility As an old-style first-generation module, it only fits early Ovation V3.4 and older rack backplanes and cannot be directly installed on new compact I/O baseplates.

Thermal Power Plants (Primary Application) Closed-loop regulation for boilers, steam turbines and auxiliary equipment: feedwater control valves, flue gas dampers, fan variable frequency speed control, turbine governor valves, desuperheating water valves and denitrification ammonia injection valves.
Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Plants Continuous adjustment of pipeline flow control valves, tank level regulating valves, compressor anti-surge valves and heater fuel valves.
Wastewater Treatment, Waste Incineration & Chemical Plants Dosing metering valves, aeration fan speed regulation, closed-loop control of process pressure and temperature loops.

Manufacturer Status: The legacy 1C31129G03 series has been fully obsoleted with no new original production from Emerson.
Market Supply: Only surplus overseas stock and refurbished second-hand units are available through intermediate traders, all classified as resold spare parts.
