1.Main Functions

1. Turbine drive logic control: As an I/O and drive board for the Mark V control system, it processes drive command outputs for steam and gas turbines. It receives control signals from the main CPU and performs signal conditioning, amplification and galvanic isolation.
2. Valve drive interface: It outputs drive signals to control turbine servo valves and actuators, adjusting fuel intake and steam valve opening for speed and load regulation.
3. Signal acquisition and feedback: It collects position feedback of actuators as well as field analog and discrete signals, and feeds data back to the Mark V main controller to realize closed‑loop regulation.
4. Fault diagnosis and status reporting: On‑board hardware self‑test monitors power supply and channel faults. Fault codes are uploaded to the system for alarm and trip protection.
5. Redundancy coordination: Compatible with the Mark V triple‑modular redundant architecture, it participates in turbine interlock logic to meet high‑reliability safety requirements for power generation equipment.

2.Applications

This is a critical hardware component for the GE Mark V gas and steam turbine control system, widely deployed in thermal power plants and combined‑cycle power stations.

• Drives speed control, load regulation, fuel valves and steam control valve actuators for gas and steam turbines.
• Executes field‑layer commands during unit start‑up, speed‑raising, grid‑connection and load operation.
• Participates in unit safety interlocks and issues trip commands under abnormal conditions for emergency shutdown.
• Serves as maintenance replacement spare part for legacy turbine‑power‑generation units. The DS200 is an older‑generation hardware series still operating on a large number of installed units.
