It is designed for safety‑critical speed measurement and overspeed protection for turbines, generators, large rotating machinery. This is a legacy industrial safety module. Original Braun production is Discontinued (EOL). Only original surplus stock, refurbished or aftermarket spare units are available in industrial spare‑parts market. Main Functions

1. Speed and rotation‑direction measurement Accept pulse input from Braun A5S‑series speed sensors; accurately measure rotational speed (RPM) and detect forward/reverse rotation direction. High‑precision frequency‑to‑speed conversion, supports wide speed‑range measurement.
2. Configurable overspeed & underspeed alarm/trip thresholds User‑programmable setpoints for overspeed and underspeed limits. When speed exceeds or falls below thresholds, triggers relay output for alarm or emergency trip shutdown.
3. Relay output for safety interlock Built‑in safety relay contacts for overspeed, underspeed, direction‑fault and sensor‑fault signals. Hard‑wired output to machine control system for safety shutdown protection of rotating equipment.
4. Sensor fault diagnosis Continuous monitoring of speed‑sensor signal health; detects sensor open‑circuit, short‑circuit, signal loss, and reports fault via relay output, preventing false speed readings.
5. Isolated analog output (4‑20 mA) Isolated 4‑20 mA analog output proportional to measured rotational speed, sends real‑time speed value to DCS/PLC system for remote monitoring and data logging.
6. 24 VDC sensor supply output (U1 version) Provides 24 VDC power to feed connected Braun speed sensors, simplifies field‑wiring.
