Main Functions

1. Precise Turbine Speed & Load Regulation Receives pulse signals from magnetic speed pick‑ups. Executes PID closed‑loop control for turbine shaft speed. Supports isochronous constant‑speed mode and droop mode for generator applications. Regulates generator load when turbine connects to utility grid, performs bumpless mode switching between speed control and load control.
2. Extraction & Admission Pressure Control Specialized algorithm for extraction‑admission steam turbines. Simultaneously governs shaft speed, generator load and process steam pressure. Balances power generation demand and plant steam consumption for combined heat‑and‑power (CHP) units.
3. Complete Turbine Start‑Stop Sequence Control Implements automatic, semi‑automatic and manual startup routines. Includes hot‑start / cold‑start ramp‑up logic, critical‑speed avoidance bands, speed hold and acceleration limiting. Executes normal and emergency shutdown sequences for the turbine unit.
4. Rich Protective Logic & First‑Out Fault Diagnosis Monitors overspeed, over‑load, valve position limit, and process‑related interlock signals. Provides first‑out trip indication to identify root cause of shutdown. Cooperates with independent overspeed protection hardware such as Woodward ProTech‑GII to form a complete safety chain.
5. Dual Actuator Drive Outputs Provides two independent analog current outputs to drive hydraulic / electro‑hydraulic actuators (such as Woodward CPC‑II). Supports split‑range valve control for steam turbine governor valve and extraction valve loops.
6. Local HMI & On‑site Configuration Integrated front‑panel LCD display and keypad. Operators can check real‑time parameters, modify set‑points, view alarm and trip history. Menu‑driven configuration without special programming language; password‑protected parameter access.
7. Industrial Communication Interfaces Equipped with Modbus‑RTU (RS‑485) communication ports. Realizes data exchange with DCS, PLC and SCADA systems for remote monitoring, remote set‑point adjustment and fault uploading. Supports Woodward configuration tool for offline parameter editing and firmware upgrade.
8. Flexible I/O Resources Configurable analog inputs for pressure, temperature and external set‑point signals; multiple relay outputs for alarm, trip and status indication. Accepts remote 4‑20 mA set‑point commands from external plant control systems.
9. Rugged Industrial Hardware Performance Wide DC power supply range (10‑30 VDC). Designed for turbine‑house environment, wide operating temperature range, anti‑vibration construction, suitable for continuous long‑term field operation.
