1.Main Functions

The EG series is an electro-hydraulic proportional actuator. Its core principle is: Electrical Signal → Hydraulic Amplification → Mechanical Rotation Output.www.plcva.com

• Receiving proportional control current: Accepts DC proportional current (typically 0~200mA) output by Woodward speed controllers such as 2301A and 723PLUS.
• Electro-hydraulic power amplification: Uses engine lubricating oil as the hydraulic power source. A small current signal drives the hydraulic servo to deliver a high-torque rotating shaft.
• Proportional mechanical output: The magnitude of input current is linearly proportional to the rotation angle of the output shaft. The output shaft pulls the fuel rack of diesel/gas engines or gas valve linkages to change fuel supply.
• Closed-loop speed execution: Cooperates with the electronic speed controller to perform speed-up, speed-down, speed stabilization and load regulation; participates in load sharing during grid paralleling.
• Mechanical backup available for some versions: Can be assembled with PG hydraulic governor body to provide backup hydraulic governing when electronic control fails, improving unit safety rating (PGA-EG / PGG-EG combination).
• Protection interlock: Works with the control system to reduce/cut off fuel by actuating the fuel rack upon overspeed or faults for emergency speed reduction and shutdown.
