1.Main Functions

1. Digital Signal Logic Control It reads digital input signals from field devices including push buttons, limit switches, proximity sensors and photoelectric sensors. Executes user-programmed ladder logic to perform combinational logic, sequential control, interlock and timing tasks, then drives relay outputs to activate contactors, solenoid valves, indicators and other field actuators. Relay output supports both AC and DC loads, rated 2A per point, max 250VAC /30VDC.
2. Rich Built-in Instruction Set & Timer/Counter Functions Supports a complete library of basic logic instructions plus many applied instructions: timers, counters, arithmetic operation, data comparison, data shift and data transfer. It realizes sequential automatic cycle control for production machinery.
3. High-speed Counting Function Built-in multiple high-speed counter channels for pulse signal acquisition from encoders, applicable for length measurement, speed detection and position tracking.
4. PID Closed-loop Control Supports built-in PID control instructions. By mating with analog input expansion modules, it can automatically regulate temperature, pressure, flow rate and liquid level for process control.
5. Real-time Clock Function Integrated hardware real-time clock for time-sequenced scheduling, time logging and event timestamp recording.
6. Modular Expansion Capacity The basic unit can connect external expansion I/O modules, analog A/D & D/A modules, special function modules and communication modules. It can expand digital I/O, analog signal processing and positioning functions according to project requirements.
7. Multiple Communication Interfaces Standard RS422 programming port; optional RS232 / RS485 communication expansion boards to communicate with HMI, inverters and upper SCADA host computer for data exchange.
8. System Diagnostics & Fault Alarm Built-in self-diagnosis function for power failure, program error, hardware abnormality. Front panel LED indicators display Power, RUN, Battery low and fault status. Internal latch fault registers record error codes for troubleshooting.
9. Input Digital Filter Adjustment The first group of input terminals X000~X017 supports configurable digital filter to suppress input signal jitter and interference from noisy industrial environments.

Core Purpose

FX2N-48MR-001 is a classic micro PLC for factory automation. It executes customized user logic programs to automate sequential machine operation, safety interlock and process control. The relay output design is suitable for switching AC loads directly. It is widely used to replace traditional relay control cabinets, reduce wiring complexity and improve system reliability and flexibility.

Load Characteristic Note

Relay output version is suitable for low-frequency on-off loads. It is NOT recommended for high-frequency pulse output; transistor output type (FX2N-48MT) shall be selected if high-speed pulse positioning is required. This FX2N series is an obsolete legacy product, mainly used as spare replacement for existing old automation systems.
