1. Anti-surge protection monitoring: Collect real-time suction/discharge pressure, flow, temperature signals from centrifugal compressors; calculate surge margin and prevent compressor surge which can destroy compressor impeller.plcva.com
2. Analog & digital signal acquisition & output: Process 4-20mA analog sensor signals and digital discrete I/O for pressure, temperature, vibration, valve feedback and interlock signals.
3. Closed-loop control algorithm execution: Run control logic for recycle valve / anti-surge valve modulation, maintain stable operating point of centrifugal compressor.
4. System interlock & trip protection: Implement safety interlock logic; trigger compressor trip and recycle valve quick opening when dangerous operating conditions are detected.
5. Data communication: Exchange real-time operating data, alarm status and setpoints with CCC main controller, DCS or SCADA system via industrial bus.
6. Fault diagnosis & alarm logging: Continuously self-check board health and sensor signal validity, record fault events and alarm logs for maintenance troubleshooting.plcva.com
