1. Chopper PWM Pulse Generation & Control Generate high-speed PWM switching signals to drive the braking chopper power IGBT. It controls the chopper ON/OFF state to consume regenerative energy on the DC bus during motor deceleration.www.plcva.com
2. DC Bus Voltage Monitoring & Closed-Loop Regulation Continuously sample DC link voltage. When the DC bus voltage rises above the threshold caused by motor regenerative feedback, the board activates the chopper to discharge excess energy into braking resistors and suppress overvoltage.
3. Drive Power Protection Integrate overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature protection logic. It triggers chopper block and drive fault alarm when abnormal conditions occur, protecting the main power unit of the DC drive.
4. Signal Exchange with Drive Main Controller Receive operating commands from the drive main control board; feed back chopper status, fault signals and DC bus voltage data via internal backplane bus.
5. Hardware Self-diagnosis & Fault Reporting Detect circuit faults, IGBT drive anomalies and braking resistor circuit failures. Store fault codes for maintenance troubleshooting.
6. Modular spare replacement design Standard rack plug-in PCB. Replace the defective board to restore the regenerative braking function of the DC drive.www.plcva.com
