Main Functions

This meter belongs to GE DigitalFlow GF868 series ultrasonic flare gas flowmeter, adopting patented Correlation Transit-Time™ ultrasonic technology. It continuously measures gas velocity and volumetric flow rate of flare gas. By calculating the average molecular weight of gas via sound speed algorithm, combined with temperature and pressure inputs, it outputs accurate mass flow data. It supports bidirectional flow measurement and performs stably under tough conditions such as pulsating flow and variable gas composition. Equipped with built-in self-diagnosis and multiple signal outputs for system connection. Without moving parts, it resists impurities in gas and requires minimum routine maintenance.

Application

It is applied for continuous flow measurement of flare gas and vent gas on flare pipelines in refineries, petrochemical plants and offshore oil & gas platforms. It supports emission measurement for environmental compliance, plant mass balance calculation, pipeline leak detection and optimization of flare steam supply, meeting environmental regulation requirements and process safety management.
