1.Main Functions

Multi-channel Discrete Digital Input Signal Acquisition Equipped with multiple DI channels to collect passive contact signals from field equipment: circuit breaker open/close status, disconnector position, protective relay trip alarms, ground fault signals, local/remote mode switching. Converts 24V/110VDC field digital signals into processable data for the main controller, captures status changes at millisecond level with time-stamped Sequence of Events (SOE) logging.
10BASE-T High-Speed Industrial Ethernet Communication Dual redundant RJ45 Ethernet ports with 10 Mbps transmission rate; natively supports power industry protocols including DNP3.0, Modbus TCP, IEC 61850 MMS & GOOSE. Acts as data bridge between D20 RTU and upper-level SCADA dispatch master station or power plant SIS/MIS system, uploading remote signaling, telemetry and fault records, and receiving remote tripping/closing commands; upgrades low-speed legacy RS485 serial links to boost system bandwidth.

Global System Memory Capacity Expansion Onboard up to 16MB extended memory to enlarge D20 controller cache for fault oscillography storage, historical event logs, protection setting groups and sequential logic programs. Supports access to more IED intelligent electronic devices and prevents system crash caused by memory overflow.
Hot-Swappable VME Bus Rack Expansion Standard VME backplane pluggable design, supports hot replacement without system shutdown. Multiple EME modules can be cascaded to realize centralized signal collection for massive feeders, transformers and generator units in large substations.
Industrial-Grade High EMC Anti-Interference Performance Compliant with IEC 61000 electromagnetic compatibility standards, immune to strong magnetic fields and high-voltage surges in substation environments. Operating temperature range: -40℃ ~ +70℃, suitable for outdoor switchyards and high-temperature gas turbine auxiliary cabinets; built-in hardware overvoltage & short-circuit protection circuits.
Multi-Device Protocol Conversion & Data Forwarding Serves as protocol gateway to interconnect GE SR750 feeder relays, EX2100 excitation systems and Mark VIe gas turbine control systems, synchronously uploading all unit operating data to central dispatch background.

Core Application: Utility Smart Substation Automation Standard matched board for D20 RTU in 110kV/220kV power grid substations. Collects remote signaling of breakers, disconnectors and protection devices across the station, transmits data to dispatch SCADA via 10BASE-T Ethernet for remote monitoring, fault alarming and remote switch operation control.
