Main Functions

This is a 6U single-slot VMEbus mass storage module designed for GE VME embedded processors. It provides IDE/ATAPI interface to support CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD optical drives and IDE hard disk drives. It realizes control program loading, firmware upgrade, parameter backup, reading and exporting operating data. IDE master/slave mode can be configured via jumpers, supporting multiple optical disc read/write formats. It delivers local storage access for VME industrial control systems.

Application

It is widely deployed in GE Mark VI / Mark VIe gas turbine and steam turbine VME control systems for power plants, installed in VME main racks. It is also applicable to various embedded industrial controllers, data acquisition and test systems based on VMEbus architecture, for control program import, system maintenance and data archiving.
