Functions

1. Designed for Tricon V9/V10/V11 Safety Instrumented System (SIS). It adopts TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) technology with 2-out-of-3 voting logic to avoid single point of failure, certified SIL3 in accordance with IEC61508.
2. 16-channel digital output module, providing discrete on/off signals to field equipment.
3. Equipped with comprehensive self-diagnostics to detect channel faults and wiring abnormalities. It supports hot swap, allowing module replacement online without system shutdown.
4. Receives digital commands from the controller and outputs discrete signals to drive field solenoid valves, relays, audible & visual alarms and other discrete devices. Three independent circuits execute synchronous voting to ensure safe and reliable operation under fault conditions.
5. Configuration, commissioning and diagnostics are realized via TriStation software. It must work with dedicated termination baseplate.

Applications

1. Widely used in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD) for high-risk industries including oil & gas, petrochemical, coal chemical, power plants and LNG facilities.
2. Sends discrete signals to control emergency shutdown valves, solenoid valves, alarm units, isolation relays to execute process safety interlock and emergency trip actions.
3. Mainly supplied as spare parts for existing Tricon control systems. Trident series hardware is preferred for new projects; 3603T is mostly used for plant renovation and equipment replacement.
4. Typical scenarios: process emergency interlock trip, flare ignition control, safety shutdown of compressor units, audio-visual alarm under hazardous conditions and other safety loops.
