Function Description

Redundant Safety Design Compatibility Supports dual-channel speed signal input with two independent monitoring channels, complying with SIL safety level and explosion-proof standards for power plant and petrochemical units.

Overspeed Signal Acquisition Collects pulse frequency signals from speed probes (eddy current sensors / magnetic speed sensors) of rotating equipment such as steam turbines, gas turbines and large compressors, and converts the pulses into real-time shaft rotating speed.

Overspeed Logic Monitoring & Judgment Equipped with an independent hardware safety circuit. Multiple overspeed threshold levels (alert, danger, trip) can be configured to continuously compare the actual rotating speed with preset protection limits.

Safety Trip Output When the rotating speed hits the dangerous overspeed threshold, the dry hard contacts of the module act immediately to trigger the unit emergency shutdown circuit for interlock protection. The hardware trip function operates independently of system software to prevent protection failure caused by software malfunctions.

Built-in Self-Diagnosis Performs real-time self-checks for channel disconnection, sensor short circuit, internal hardware faults and abnormal signals, and transmits fault alarms to the 3500 rack chassis.

Data Communication & Transmission Uploads real-time speed values, overspeed alarms and fault codes to the 3500 rack controller, which further communicates with DCS, PLC and HMI monitoring systems for remote supervision.
