Product Background

The 1X00188H01 is passive cavity insert filler for legacy Westinghouse/Emerson Ovation P‑Mod I/O system, manufactured in USA.

Every slot of P‑Mod I/O base must be populated either with functional I/O card or this 1X00188H01 filler insert. Empty slot without filler will cause back‑plane bus impedance mismatch, resulting in communication errors, system alarms and abnormal operation of adjacent I/O modules.

Pure passive mechanical & impedance‑matching component, no active chip or signal circuit. Operating temperature:0‑60℃, hot‑swap capable, plug into P‑Mod base slot.

Lifecycle Status: EOL (End‑of‑Life). OEM production discontinued. Available supplies are original surplus stock or used pulled units, only for maintenance of legacy P‑Mod‑based Ovation installations. New‑generation Ovation I/O hardware does not require this filler insert.

Key Functions

1. Mechanical slot filler: occupy unused empty slots on P‑Mod I/O base, block dust and foreign debris.
2. Back‑plane bus impedance termination: passive matching circuit preserves bus signal integrity. Empty slot without this insert will trigger signal reflection and I/O communication malfunctions.
3. Hot‑swap compatible: insert/remove online without disturbing other working I/O modules.
4. Suppress system diagnostic alarm: Ovation system detects slot presence; this filler clears “module missing” fault alarm for vacant slots.

Important Note: This unit has NO analog‑input measurement function. It cannot collect process signals; it is only for empty‑slot filling purpose.

Main Application Scenarios

1. Thermal power plants: fill vacant slots on legacy Ovation P‑Mod I/O bases to eliminate bus faults, spare‑part replacement for existing DCS systems (primary application).
2. Thermal‑power, waste‑to‑energy and hydropower plant legacy Ovation DCS maintenance.
3. Petrochemical & refinery plant retrofitting for old P‑Mod Ovation I/O cabinets.
4. Maintenance of legacy Ovation installations: must install 1X00188H01 after removing old I/O cards. Not used for new‑build projects.
