1. Core Process Control Execution Unit It is the main rack‑based controller for ABB Symphony Harmony DCS platform. Executes analog closed‑loop control, sequence logic control, batch control and arithmetic calculation via function code blocks and C‑language programs, handles multi‑loop heavy‑duty process control tasks.plcva.com
2. I/O Subsystem Management Communicates with Harmony block I/O, Harmony rack I/O and S800 I/O modules over process bus. Automatically downloads I/O configuration, collects field input signals and outputs control commands to field I/O channels.

1. Multi‑network Communication & Data Bridging Supports Harmony Control Network (HCN), InfiNet, and TCP/IP interfaces. Realizes data exchange between field I/O, operator stations, upper‑level monitoring systems and other controllers, acts as a communication bridge across different sub‑systems.
2. Redundancy‑supported Architecture Supports hot‑standby redundant configuration. Automatic fail‑over occurs if primary controller fails, to guarantee uninterrupted process operation for high‑reliability industrial sites.
3. Memory & Data Retention Equipped with 8MB SDRAM and battery‑backed NVRAM. Lithium backup battery preserves user configuration, control logic and critical process data during power‑off condition.
4. Diagnostics & Status Indication On‑board LED indicators for module health, communication status and fault alarms. Provides self‑diagnosis for hardware failure, communication breakdown and configuration error for on‑site troubleshooting.
