ESB Bus Master Communication Coupling It is the dedicated master interface module for ESB high‑speed backplane bus. Installed on Field Control Unit (FCU/AFV series), it establishes high‑speed deterministic communication between the main DCS controller and remote Node Units (NUs) with FIO/N‑IO I/O racks.
High‑speed Deterministic Data Transmission Communication speed reaches 128 Mbps, maximum transmission distance 10 meters. Supports connection of up to 9 node units. It cyclically transmits field acquisition data from remote I/O to FCU, and distributes control output commands from FCU down to field I/O modules.
Redundancy‑supported Architecture Supports dual‑module hot‑standby redundant deployment. Automatic fail‑over is triggered upon single‑module fault, maintaining continuous bus communication without process interruption for high‑reliability production sites.
Hot‑swap & Backplane Integration Rack‑mount design for FCU chassis, supports hot‑plug replacement under running system. Powered by DCS backplane, typical current consumption 0.5A, no extra external power required.
Hardware Self‑diagnosis & Status Indication Front‑panel LED indicators display module running status, bus link condition and fault alarms. Note: EC401‑10 cannot work independently. It must be matched with Yokogawa AFV‑series FCU controllers and ESB‑bus Node Units. Some hardware revisions belong to legacy spare stock parts.
