Introduction

Main Functions

Ethernet‑based System‑level Communication Gateway Equipped with dual BNC 10Mbps Ethernet ports and one RS‑232 serial port. It serves as the main network interface for Tricon SIS controller, realizing bidirectional data exchange between Tricon safety system and external hosts, DCS, HMI and engineering workstations.
Multi‑protocol Data Transmission Supports Triconex proprietary protocol, TSAA protocol, Modbus TCP/RTU and TCP/IP protocol suite. Transmits real‑time safety process variables, alarm messages, trip events, system diagnosis data from SIS to external automation platforms; receives operation commands and parameter modification from upper‑level host systems.
Engineering Access for Tricon System Provides network access channel for TriStation engineering software, supporting program download, online monitoring, system configuration and fault diagnosis for Tricon safety controller.
Electrical Isolation and Hardware Diagnosis Provides 500 VDC galvanic isolation between external network circuit and internal TMR backplane bus, isolating surge and ground‑loop interference to protect safety controller hardware. Front‑panel LED indicators display module running, link status and fault alarms for on‑site troubleshooting.
Hot‑swap capability Supports hot‑plug replacement inside Tricon chassis while SIS system keeps running, avoids safety‑system shutdown during module maintenance. Powered by chassis backplane without external power supply.

Note: Triconex 4329 is EOL (End‑of‑Life / Obsolete) legacy spare module. It cannot operate independently; it must be installed in Tricon main chassis and cooperate with Tricon processor modules. Original mass‑production has been discontinued, only used as aftermarket replacement spare part.
