Main Functions

1. Precise Fuel‑Rack Position Control Receives pulse‑width‑modulated (PWM) command signal from Woodward electronic governor. Converts electrical control signal into rotary mechanical output, drives diesel/gas engine fuel rack or fuel‑valve linkage to adjust fuel supply quantity. Realizes closed‑loop position control with built‑in shaft position feedback sensor.
2. Fail‑Safe Spring‑Return Protection Built‑in powerful return spring. When power supply is lost, control signal fails or emergency shutdown signal triggers, the actuator automatically rotates to minimum‑fuel position, cuts off engine fuel supply and implements safe shutdown, preventing runaway overspeed risk.
3. Closed‑loop Position Feedback Integrated position sensor feeds real‑time output‑shaft angle back to the speed governor controller. The controller continuously corrects deviation, ensures high‑accuracy positioning, reduces position drift and improves speed‑regulation stability under variable‑load conditions.
4. Dynamic Response for Speed Governing Fast slew response supports rapid fuel adjustment during load surge or load drop, suppresses engine speed fluctuation and hunting. Works cooperatively with speed controller to realize isochronous constant‑speed mode or droop mode for generator‑set parallel operation.
5. Mechanical Over‑travel Protection Internal mechanical limit stops restrict output‑shaft rotation range, avoid over‑stroke damage to fuel pump and linkage mechanism. Accepts external emergency stop command from safety systems such as overspeed protection devices.
6. Harsh‑environment Adaptability Engine‑mounted heavy‑duty construction, resistant to engine vibration, high ambient temperature, humidity and dust. Designed for continuous field operation on reciprocating prime‑movers.
7. Compatibility with Woodward Governor Series Matched with Woodward 2301D, 723PLUS and other electronic speed controllers. It is the executing element of electronic speed‑control system, responsible for converting governor electrical commands into mechanical fuel‑adjustment action.

• Industrial diesel & gas generator sets: Main execution component for genset electronic speed‑control systems, stabilizes generating‑unit frequency under varying electrical load.
• Marine engine power units: Auxiliary diesel generator engines on vessels, offshore platform power generation equipment, adapts to heavy‑vibration marine‑engine‑room environment.
• Reciprocating engine prime movers: Diesel‑driven compressors, pump drives and other industrial mechanical‑drive engines.
• Retrofit and spare‑part replacement: Field replacement for old Woodward electric actuators; upgrade project from mechanical‑hydraulic governors to electronic governing systems.
• Combined safety‑control chain: Cooperates with Woodward overspeed protection systems (ProTech‑GII etc.), executes fuel‑cut action upon safety trip command to avoid catastrophic overspeed failure.
