Main Functions

1. Mechanical‑Hydraulic Speed Regulation Flyweight mechanism senses turbine shaft rotational speed. Internal hydraulic power amplification drives rotary output shaft to adjust steam‑governing‑valve linkage. Stabilizes turbine shaft speed under variable mechanical or electrical load. Supports adjustable speed droop (2‑10 %), mainly for droop‑mode operation; not designed for isochronous constant‑speed control.
2. Self‑Contained Hydraulic Oil System Built‑in gear pump and integrated oil sump driven by turbine shaft. No external hydraulic oil supply station required. Internal dashpot suppresses speed hunting and oscillation for stable dynamic response during load change.
3. On‑site Manual Speed Adjustment Screw‑type local speed set‑point adjustment. Speed setting can be modified on‑site during unit standstill or normal operation. Optional overspeed‑test‑device (OTD) for offline overspeed function verification without turbine over‑speed risk.
4. Parallel‑Unit Load‑Sharing via Droop Characteristic Speed‑droop function enables load distribution for multiple steam turbines running in parallel. Prevents load‑swing and unbalanced load allocation for multi‑turbine installations.
5. Mechanical Trip & Emergency Shutdown Interface Accepts external trip signal from overspeed protection devices (such as Woodward ProTech‑GII). Executes mechanical trip action to close steam valve and shut down turbine in emergency conditions. Provides mechanical overspeed trip protection as backup safety layer.
6. Heavy‑duty Environmental Adaptability Die‑cast aluminum weather‑proof housing, NEMA‑A enclosure rating. Resists vibration, high temperature and dust in turbine‑house environment. Supports ATEX / IECEx hazardous‑area installation for process‑plant sites.
7. Pure‑mechanical‑hydraulic Control Logic Does not rely on electronic circuits for core governing action. Maintains speed‑control capability under loss of instrument power supply, delivering high reliability for critical rotating‑machinery.

Primary Applications

• API‑611 industrial steam turbines: Mechanical‑drive turbines for pumps, compressors, fans in refineries, petrochemical and chemical plants.
• Captive power‑plant steam turbines: Small‑and‑medium‑size steam turbine generator sets for industrial self‑generation, combined‑heat‑and‑power facilities.
• Oil & gas turbomachinery: Steam‑driven compressors on gas‑processing plants and on‑site process units for hazardous‑area environments.
• Process‑industry auxiliary power units: Paper‑mill, sugar‑plant and heating‑plant steam‑turbine prime movers.
• Retrofit & spare‑part replacement: Drop‑in spare‑part replacement for legacy TG‑13 governor units; modernization projects for old mechanical turbine‑control systems.
• Safety‑control‑chain cooperation: Works together with electronic turbine controllers (505E) and independent overspeed protection system to form complete turbine speed‑control and safety‑trip system.
