Main Functions

1. Prime‑Mover Speed Regulation The flyweight ball‑head mechanism senses real‑time rotating speed of diesel engine, gas engine or steam turbine. It adjusts fuel rack or steam valve position via hydraulic power amplification, stabilizes shaft speed under varying load conditions. Supports two control modes: isochronous (constant‑speed) and adjustable speed droop (0‑10 %).
2. Manual Local Speed Setting via Dial Knob Built‑in front‑panel dial knob for on‑site manual speed set‑point adjustment. Optional UG‑10 MAS accessory enables remote speed setting via 4‑20 mA analog signal for external control system intervention.
3. Parallel Unit Load Sharing Speed droop function distributes active load evenly among multiple generator sets running in parallel, prevents load hunting and unbalanced load allocation for multi‑unit power plants.
4. Load Limit Control & Shutdown Function Restricts maximum fuel delivery to avoid prime‑mover overload. Integrated mechanical shutdown capability; accepts external solenoid trip signal to cut fuel supply and execute emergency stop of the prime‑mover.
5. Self‑Contained Hydraulic Power System Internal gear pump provides working hydraulic pressure driven by prime‑mover shaft. Independent oil sump, no external hydraulic station needed. Built‑in compensation dashpot suppresses speed oscillation and hunting for stable dynamic response.
6. Harsh‑environment Mechanical Reliability Heavy‑duty cast‑iron housing, anti‑vibration mechanical structure. Operates without dependence on electronic circuits for basic governing logic, maintains core control even under poor power‑supply conditions. Field‑adjustable parameters for on‑site commissioning and maintenance.
7. Overspeed Protection Auxiliary Interface Can cooperate with external Woodward ProTech‑GII overspeed safety system. Receives trip command to close fuel/steam valve when dangerous overspeed occurs, forming complete speed‑control plus overspeed‑protection safety chain.

• Industrial & marine generator sets: Medium‑to‑large diesel / gas engine generator units for captive power plants, ship auxiliary power generation, offshore facility power supply.
• Marine propulsion power: Main and auxiliary marine diesel engines for ship propulsion systems. Suitable for heavy‑vibration engine‑room operating environments.
• Turbomachinery drive: Industrial steam turbines, gas‑driven compressors, pump prime movers in petrochemical, oil‑gas processing plants.
• Multi‑unit parallel power stations: Sites requiring genset parallel operation with droop load sharing.
• Retrofit & spare‑part replacement: Drop‑in replacement for legacy UG series governors; upgrade projects for old mechanical speed‑control systems in power and marine industry.
