ACS-CP-U is a graphical assistant control panel that communicates with the ABB drive via dedicated panel cable. It serves as local man-machine interface for the variable frequency drive.www.plcva.com

1. Local drive operation Start / stop the motor, adjust speed reference, switch rotation direction. The LOC/REM button toggles between Local control (panel control) and Remote control (PLC / DCS control).
2. Real-time operational parameter monitoring Graphical LCD screen displays multiple actual values simultaneously: output frequency, motor speed, output current, DC bus voltage, motor torque, power and other running variables.
3. Drive parameter configuration & editing Access full parameter groups of the inverter, modify setting values during commissioning. Built-in help key (?) provides on-screen parameter explanation for quick setup.
4. Parameter upload / download (copy function) Save the full drive parameter set into the panel memory, then download the saved parameter file to another identical drive. This greatly shortens batch commissioning time for multiple identical machines.
5. Fault & alarm diagnosis Display active fault codes, alarm messages and fault history log. Show fault time stamp and root cause description for troubleshooting.
6. Multi-language support Built-in multiple display languages including English, Chinese and other languages for global site operation.
7. Basic trend & status view View simple trend curves and drive status information, check I/O status of the inverter.
8. Hot removable design Can be plugged and unplugged while the inverter is powered on. Can be detached and used as a portable programming tool for multiple compatible drives.

Core Purpose

It is the local operation and commissioning HMI accessory for ABB ACS850 / ACSM1 / ACQ810 variable frequency drives. It enables on-site engineers and operators to manually control the motor, set drive parameters, monitor running status and diagnose faults without computer software. It only acts as an interface; the core control logic still runs inside the inverter itself.
