Central instrument logic control Acts as the master controller of the ICP-MS. Executes the overall instrument operation sequence according to commands sent from the host PC software. Coordinates the ion source, vacuum system, quadrupole mass filter, detector and gas flow modules synchronously.
Multi-module signal acquisition & communication Collects analog and digital feedback signals from vacuum gauge, plasma power supply, gas mass flow controllers, ion lens power supply and detector amplifier. Hardware interlock & safety protection Monitors vacuum pressure, plasma ignition status, door interlock, cooling water flow and temperature. Triggers safety interlock and protective shutdown automatically if abnormal conditions occur, to prevent damage to the high-vacuum and high-voltage components.
Real-time parameter configuration Sets and tunes critical working parameters: lens voltage, quadrupole RF/DC voltage, detector gain, argon gas flow, plasma power. Stores instrument calibration constants and fault logs in onboard non-volatile memory.
System self-diagnosis & alarm reporting Runs power-on self-test (POST) for all peripheral sub-modules. Detects communication failure, sensor faults and hardware anomalies, and pushes error codes to control software for laboratory maintenance troubleshooting.

It guarantees stable mass spectrum data acquisition and instrument safety interlock. It is mainly used for maintenance replacement when the original mainboard fails, to restore normal operation of the NexION ICP-MS instrument.
