- Optical isolation for anti-interference Built-in optocoupler galvanic isolation between field side and DeltaV LocalBus backplane. Eliminates ground loop noise, protects DCS rack from surge and transient interference in industrial field cables.
- LocalBus communication with DeltaV controller Converts discrete field status into digital data and transmits to DeltaV controller via backplane LocalBus. Receives module configuration parameters from the control workstation.www.plcva.com
- Channel diagnostics & fault detection Detects circuit open-circuit and abnormal channel status; reports fault information to DeltaV operator station. LED indicators on module show channel status and module health for on-site inspection.
