Overview

The 4000098-510 is a factory pre-terminated dedicated analog output cable assembly for Tricon TMR triple modular redundant SIS safety instrumented systems, with a standard length of 10 feet. It is pre-fitted with original green D-type male and female connectors on both ends. One end plugs into rack analog output modules such as 3805E / 3805H, while the other connects to 9566 series analog terminal blocks (3000540-380), dedicated to transmitting 4–20mA analog regulating signals.

1. Establish standardized signal path between AO modules and terminal blocks As an intermediate transmission cable, it links analog output cards inside the control cabinet rack to field termination panels, transferring 4–20mA continuous regulating signals issued by the main processor. Signals are routed through terminal blocks to field control valves, valve positioners and other modulating actuators to realize safe closed-loop control of pressure, temperature, flow and liquid level.
2. Shielded twisted pair design for high-precision undistorted analog signal transmission Constructed with fully shielded twisted pairs and continuous shield grounding, it effectively suppresses EMI/RFI electromagnetic interference generated by variable frequency drives, motors and power grids, eliminating signal drift, jitter and attenuation of 4–20mA loops, and meeting strict signal stability requirements for SIL3 safety loops.
3. Support parallel transmission of three independent TMR redundant signal channels Internal multi-core separated wiring corresponds to the three TMR redundant channels of AO modules, with three analog signals transmitted in parallel with physical isolation. Damage to a single wire core will not disrupt the other two signal paths. Combined with hardware voting logic of modules, it prevents spurious valve operation or runaway.
4. Factory pre-assembled integrated connectors to simplify installation and reduce wiring faults Both ends are pre-crimped with dedicated factory connectors without on-site stripping or soldering, enabling direct plug-and-play connection between modules and terminal panels. It avoids loose contacts, short circuits and wrong wiring sequences caused by manual termination, shortens cabinet construction time and reduces loop fault points and SOE alarms in later operation.
5. Industrial weatherproof flame-retardant cable for harsh hazardous environments Equipped with a gray flame-retardant flexible outer jacket, it operates stably from -40℃ to +85℃, with excellent resistance to oil, moisture and vibration, and complies with UL/CE industrial certifications. 6. Synchronous transmission of full-loop diagnostic feedback signals Besides forward 4–20mA control signals, it transmits loop fault sampling feedback signals from terminal blocks back to AO modules. The system can diagnose open circuits, short circuits and abnormal loads in real time, generating fault alarms and Sequence of Events (SOE) logs.
7. Compatible with online hot-swap maintenance Connectors adopt locking anti-loosening design. The cable can be plugged and replaced while the cabinet remains energized, without interrupting other analog regulating loops or the whole ESD/BMS safety interlock system.
8. Standardized wiring with uniform impedance matching for the whole system The cable impedance is calibrated uniformly by the factory to ensure consistent impedance across all channels and avoid signal deviation from long-distance wiring. Standardized specifications facilitate unified project stocking and maintenance replacement, cutting spare parts management costs.
