Function

Adopts TMR triple modular redundant architecture. Three independent processor channels run identical safety logic in parallel and perform 2-out-of-3 hardware voting. Single processor failure will not interrupt system operation.
Executes user safety application logic downloaded from TriStation engineering software, processes real-time field I/O data and judges safety interlock conditions.
Controls backplane TriBus high-speed communication to exchange data with all I/O modules inside the rack.
Supports multiple communication interfaces for data interaction with TriStation workstation, DCS, HMI and SOE event recording system.
Continuous online self-diagnosis on processor, memory, communication and hardware health; uploads fault alarms and diagnostic information to operator station.
Supports hot swap for online replacement during maintenance without shutdown of the whole SIS.
Complies with IEC61508 SIL3 safety integrity level for safety critical protection.

TRICONEX 3009 Enhanced Main Processor Module

It is the core controller module for TRICONEX Tricon SIS, used in ESD Emergency Shutdown System, F&G Fire & Gas System, BMS Burner Management System and turbine/compressor machinery protection systems.
Collects signals from AI, DI modules, runs safety interlock algorithms and sends trip commands to AO/DO output modules to actuate field shutdown devices.
Widely applied in oil & gas, offshore platform, petrochemical, refining, coal chemical, long-distance pipeline and power generation industries.
Used in SIL3 safety-critical plants. When process parameters exceed safety limits, the processor triggers protective trips to isolate hazardous equipment and prevent accidents.
Installed in Tricon main rack as the central control core of the whole safety instrumented system.
