1.Main Functions

1. It is a standard PCI computer board implementing the Modbus Plus (MB+) industrial fieldbus protocol, acting as a communication interface between industrial PCs and Modicon PLC networks.
2. Equipped with one DB9 Modbus Plus port to realize data exchange between host computers and Modicon series PLCs such as Quantum and Momentum.
3. The network node address is configured by software without hardware DIP switches. Built-in LED indicators support network fault diagnosis.
4. Matched with dedicated driver software to support PLC program upload & download, online monitoring, register access and SCADA data acquisition.
5. It performs protocol conversion between parallel computer signals and serial Modbus Plus bus signals.

2. Applications

1. Installed on industrial PCs or servers to build SCADA monitoring systems for legacy Modicon Quantum and Momentum PLC systems.
2. Used by automation engineers for PLC program uploading, downloading, online commissioning and troubleshooting.
3. Widely applied in legacy industrial projects including water treatment, power plants, metallurgy and oil & gas facilities with existing Modbus Plus control networks.
4. Spare part replacement for old production line retrofits, enabling data communication between computers and all controllers on the Modbus Plus bus.
