Core Functions

1. Standardized Hardware Mounting & Installation Adopting standard 19-inch industrial rack design, it is equipped with multiple internal slots for installing all 3500 series I/O modules including overspeed monitoring cards, vibration cards, shaft displacement cards, rack interface modules and system power supplies. It fixes all monitoring modules uniformly and standardizes wiring layout inside control cabinets.
2. Backplane Bus for Data Exchange The rack is built with a dedicated high-speed backplane bus. All plug-in cards exchange internal data through the backplane to collect and aggregate signals of rotating speed, vibration, temperature and alarms. It acts as the core data transmission hub of the whole monitoring system.
3. Centralized Power Distribution The rack has dedicated slots for system power supply modules. After the power unit is inserted, the backplane distributes 24V working power to all internal monitoring cards uniformly. Separate external power wiring for each board is eliminated to simplify field installation.
4. Mechanical Protection & Heat Dissipation The fully enclosed metal rack provides electromagnetic shielding to resist EMI interference from on-site inverters and motors. Built-in air duct heat dissipation ensures stable temperature of internal modules during 24/7 continuous operation.
5. Modular Expansion Capability Sufficient slots support on-demand addition of vibration monitoring, overspeed protection and communication expansion modules in later stages. Function upgrades can be completed by plugging in extra modules without replacing the entire rack during unit reconstruction or capacity expansion.
6. Universal Industrial Installation It follows the universal 19-inch cabinet mounting dimension and can be directly installed into standard control cabinets of power and petrochemical sites, complying with installation specifications for land workshops and offshore platform explosion-proof cabinets.

Application & Purpose

1. Compatible System: The full Bently Nevada 3500 series machinery condition monitoring and protection system. This rack is an essential base carrier; all monitoring cards cannot work independently without it.
2. Applicable Equipment: Steam turbines, gas turbines, large centrifugal compressors, booster fans and turbomachinery on offshore oil & gas platforms.
