Main Functions

1. Digital switching signal output: Converts logic commands calculated by the DCS controller into switch contact or level signals recognizable by field equipment.
2. Multi-channel digital DO output, supporting passive or active switch signal output.
3. Built-in electrical isolation to protect the main control system from strong field interference and reverse voltage damage.
4. Capable of driving field devices including solenoid valves, indicator lights, relays and audible & visual alarms.
5. On-board self-diagnosis function, uploading alarms of wire breakage, short circuit and module failure to the control system.
6. Real-time data communication with the OVATION controller via local system bus.

Application Fields

1. Thermal power plants (primary application): Control boilers, steam turbines and auxiliary equipment; drive fans, water pumps, valve solenoids, damper actuators, trip circuits and alarm lights.
2. Oil & gas and petrochemical plants: Process shut-off valves, safety interlocks, pump start/stop control, flare ignition and safety shutdown systems.
3. Wastewater treatment, waste incineration and chemical plants: Program-controlled valves, chemical dosing equipment, exhaust fans and safety interlock protection loops.
4. Serves as an I/O board installed in control cabinets for the complete Emerson OVATION DCS distributed control system.

Additional Notes

This is a bottom-layer I/O hardware component of DCS. The 1C31122G02 is an older generation spare part for the OVATION series with gradual product iteration. Only a small number of brand-new original units are available from the manufacturer, and most supplies on the market are stock spare parts. For state-owned enterprise projects, purchases through authorized original distributors are recommended; second-hand resold spare parts may fail compliance audits.
