The 5X00497G01 is a 4‑slot I/O base hardware for Emerson Ovation Distributed Control System (DCS), manufactured in USA.

This base unit itself has no processing capability. It acts as mechanical carrier, providing 24VDC power supply, field wiring terminals and back‑plane bus communication link for plugged‑in I/O modules. It supports hot‑swap function for I/O modules, modules can be replaced online without system power‑down.
