Main Functions

1. Modular card‑mounting base: 19‑inch standard rack with 3RU height. Slot allocation: up to 11 slots for measurement cards (A6500‑UM universal measurement card / A6500‑TP temperature & process card), one slot for A6500‑RC relay card, two slots for A6500‑CC communication cards for redundant communication setupEmerson.
2. Backplane bus & internal high‑speed data exchange: Integrated backplane bus performs high‑speed data exchange and power distribution among all plug‑in modules inside rack. 3. External signal connection interface: Spring‑cage push‑in terminals and D‑Sub connectors are equipped on rear side. It accepts signals from eddy‑current sensors, piezo‑accelerometers, RTD and other transducers, as well as digital input/output, current and pulse signals. Slide switches are available for signal configuration settingEmerson.
4. 24VDC redundant power distribution: Accept external 24VDC power input and distribute operating power for all internal modules. Dual redundant power feeding is supported to improve system reliabilityEmerson.
5. System expansion capability: A second A6500‑SR rack can be cascaded to build a 6RU extended system. Communication cards from primary rack manage modules of both racks to expand total monitoring channelsEmerson.
6. Industrial mechanical protection: Metal chassis with anti‑shock & anti‑vibration performance, suitable for industrial cabinet environment for rotating‑machinery protection equipment.

Important note: This is empty rack frame only. Full set of functional modules (measurement, relay, communication cards) shall be installed to realize vibration, displacement, temperature monitoring & interlock protection functions. It cannot operate standalone.

EMERSON A6500‑SR

Application Purpose

This is chassis rack for Emerson AMS 6500 ATG turbomachinery protection system.

1. Typical industries: Thermal power plant, gas‑fired power plant, petrochemical & refinery. Used for mechanical protection of turbines, compressors, fans and pumps, compliant with API‑670 machinery protection standard.
2. Installation: Mounted in standard 19‑inch industrial cabinet. Full‑function protection system is built by plugging vibration‑measurement cards, temperature cards, relay output cards and communication cards inside.
3. Signal workflow: Receive field sensor signals of shaft vibration, shaft displacement, case vibration, speed and temperature. Relay card sends trip & interlock signals to external DCS / PLC; communication card uploads monitoring data to DeltaV / Ovation DCS system.
4. Application scenarios: New‑build unit project and plant retrofit project. Also used as maintenance replacement spare part when original rack backplane or slots are damaged.
