Main Functions

1. 32 differential analog signal acquisition with TMR 2oo3 voting 32 DC-coupled differential input channels, accepts 0~5VDC or -5~+5VDC differential voltage signals from field transmitters. Three independent signal processing lanes sample signals simultaneously and perform 2-out-of-3 hardware voting. Single channel hardware fault will not lead to wrong measurement reading or unwanted safety trip, complying with IEC61508 SIL3 safety integrity level. Differential input design provides excellent common-mode noise rejection, effectively eliminating ground loop interference in industrial field wiring.
2. High-precision analog-to-digital conversion Programmable 12-bit /14-bit resolution, measurement accuracy less than 0.15% full scale range. Converts field analog voltage signals into digital data and transmits voted measurement results to Tricon main processor via TriBus backplane bus, with 10ms fast input update rate.
3. Comprehensive built-in self-diagnosis Real-time monitoring of module hardware health, channel deviation, signal overrange, wiring failure and circuit abnormality. Fault events will be recorded and trigger system alarms for maintenance inspection.
4. Hot-swap capability Supports online module replacement while the whole SIS system remains operational. No full-system shutdown required during maintenance or module replacement, reducing plant downtime risk.
5. TriBus backplane communication Communicate with Tricon main processor and other I/O modules through Tricon dedicated TriBus backplane, upload voted analog measurement data and receive system configuration commands.
6. Robust industrial hardware design Wide operating temperature range, strong surge and overrange protection, suitable for severe industrial and offshore environments.

Triconex 3721 differential analog input module is the critical I/O component of Tricon SIS safety system. It collects differential analog process variables from field transmitters for safety interlock judgment.
